Having seen the film when it first came out, I fully intended to read the book it was based on. It has taken more than a few years to get there but I'm happy to say that the book didn't disappoint.
Told from the alternating viewpoint chapters of both Nick and Norah (with Rachel Cohn penning Norah's chapters and David Levithan writing Nick's perspective), this book covers a night in the life of two adolescents who find themselves drawn to one another during a night out in New York City.
I thoroughly enjoyed the film but think I enjoyed the book even better. Humorous and littered with film and music references, it was a quick and entertaining read.
